Before making your purchase, please make sure this ceiling tile is acceptable for your application as through out the country there are different requirements for clean room ceiling applications. This tile generally complies with statewide code requirements for food preparation, food storage, equipment washing, and utensil-washing areas.
Additional facts to take into consideration:
• the tile meets statewide requirements for light-colored, smooth, non-absorbent and easily cleanable surfaces
• the tile meets requirements for retail food store regulations
• the tile is fire rated class “A” with a flame spread rating of less than 25 and a smoke developed rating of less than 450
• the tile should not be installed within 18-inches of a grease hood or grease duct
• the tile is made of polystyrene - plastic
• the surface of a clean room tile looks similar to Styrofoam

We strongly suggest contacting your building inspector to confirm that the tile meets your requirements! Safety certificates are available upon request.
